Description
Assistant Director of Information Technology
The Assistant Director of IT Services plays a strategic leadership role in managing complex IT systems and delivering high-level user support. This position ensures the effective deployment of hardware/software, oversees user setup, and maintains reliable technical support across the organization. The role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence to enhance departmental efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
20% - Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor IT staff, fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment. Promote communication, enforce best practices, and support professional growth. Represent the Executive Director when needed.
20% - OS & Software Management
Oversee Mac OSX and Windows systems organization-wide. Manage software deployment, updates, and user account security. Ensure cross-departmental proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe suites.
20% - Remote Admin & Helpdesk Oversight
Lead remote administration using tools like Apple Remote Desktop and Windows Remote Desktop. Supervise helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and high user satisfaction.
20% - System Deployment & Strategy
Direct planning and execution of system deployments. Oversee hardware/software installation and user onboarding, aligning with IT policies and long-term goals.
10% - Resource & Facility Management
Manage IT resources and equipment allocation. Oversee workspace logistics and maintain printers and multifunction devices to meet organizational standards.
10% - Network & Scripting Oversight
Provide oversight for network interface configuration on workstations and servers. Support scripting and automation to improve efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum 3 years of production experience.
Strong technical knowledge of studio and field production operations.
Familiarity with media distribution (social media, streaming) preferred.
Technical Expertise
Proficient in Mac and PC imaging/deployment technologies.
Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) systems.
Experience with studio equipment is a plus.
Strong team-building and project management skills.
