Job Details

Job Title: Program Manager (Automotive Stamping) Duration: 6-12 months contract, with potential for conversion to Direct Hire (C-D)
Location: Trenton, GA (Relocation assistance available)

Job Description:


The Program Manager will be responsible for managing and executing all phases of automotive stamping product launch projects, from initial planning through full production. This position requires strong project management skills, deep understanding of stamping processes, and experience in coordinating cross-functional teams to meet quality, budget, and timing objectives. The successful candidate will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the program lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management and execution of automotive stamping programs from cradle to grave, including planning, pilot builds, testing, production launch, and ongoing lifecycle support.
  • Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes to align internal and customer timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans that meet milestone, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate resources and activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Communicate program status, issues, risks, and corrective actions to management and stakeholders regularly.
  • Support equipment installation and process validation activities.
  • Develop quotes and act as the customer interface for program-related communications.
  • Monitor product lifecycle to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and address issues proactively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing automotive program launches from planning through production.
  • Hands-on knowledge of automotive stamping processes and parts manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience with APQP and equipment installation in an automotive environment.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop accurate cost estimates and manage program budgets.
