We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer, preferably with a background in agency work, who is passionate about building SaaS platforms that deliver real-world value to customers. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain a cloud-based platform optimized for supporting insurance agencies nationwide. You will work within an agile development environment, collaborating closely with Technical Leads and Architects to tackle complex problems and create impactful solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver, a critical thinker, and a team player with a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve a SaaS platform that supports insurance agencies, utilizing Ruby on Rails and related technologies.
• Lead conversations around continuous improvement, adopting a proactive approach to solving technical challenges.
• Write clean, high-quality, and readable code while mentoring team members in best development practices.
• Perform thorough code reviews to ensure end-product quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and estimation activities.
• Work closely with the design team to integrate new features seamlessly.
• Test development efforts thoroughly to minimize issues and ensure reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, RESTful services, and relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL).
• Strong experience in unit, integration, and automated testing as part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS) is preferred.
• Agency Experience Preferred
