The Service Delivery Engineer (SDE) within the Customer Engineering (CE) organization is primarily focused on supporting service requests, assigning tasks, for a fleet customer.

$112,000.00 - $168,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $132,500.00- $198,500.00/ annually

What you'll do
The Service Delivery Engineer (SDE) within the Customer Engineering (CE) organization is primarily focused on supporting service requests, assigning tasks, for a fleet customer.
The day-to-day
You will work internally with Engineering to implement standards to support the coordination and deployment of new or modified services to include provisioning, configuring, testing, commissioning and detailing these services for the customer. Responsibilities include:
- Manage network health of customer
- Create and lead all aspects of network documentation for customer sites
- Support Customer Engineering on break/fix escalations from Customer Support Center (CSC)
- Act as customer Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of Project Engineering on vessel network moves/installs
- Take lead role on fleetwide changes or additions
- Communicate and recommend any product improvements or new products to customers
- Attend customer meetings with SDM and Account Manager
What you'll need
- 4+ years' experience supporting enterprise Cisco Network
- Validated experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, security (ASA Firewall) and wireless technologies (WLC / AP's)
- Proven knowledge of networking technologies (i.e., BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, VPN, QoS)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting Cisco Unified Communications and telephony systems
- Familiarity with networking across Satellite / LTE / LoS microwave (i.e., Newtech, iDirect, CradlePoint, OneWeb)
- Ability to work well individually or on a distributed team, sharing information accordingly
- Solid MS Office skills (including Visio)
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- ship or permanent residency
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, Texas
What will help you on the job
- CCNA level certification or equivalent experience
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Riverbed Steelhead and SDWAN
- Proven time management skills
