Job Details

Job Title: IT Support Technician

Location: San Jose, CA 95134

Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST (Onsite)

Duration: 8 + Months

Responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
  • Rack and stacking Server, lifting up to 50lb weight.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
  • Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
  • Installing and configuring systems which support infrastructure and/or R&D activities.
  • Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
  • Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
  • Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
  • Conducting daily backup operations.
  • Managing technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation and configuration.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform rack and stacking duties.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards.
  • Experience in repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
  • Competence in system upgrading procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to perform asset management, including physical asset audits.
  • Attention to detail in tracking inventory.

Remarks:

  • This position requires physical presence onsite during the specified work hours.
  • Asset management duties include conducting 4 physical asset audits per year and tracking inventory as needed.
