Job Details
Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: San Jose, CA 95134
Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST (Onsite)
Duration: 8 + Months
Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Rack and stacking Server, lifting up to 50lb weight.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
- Installing and configuring systems which support infrastructure and/or R&D activities.
- Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
- Conducting daily backup operations.
- Managing technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation and configuration.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform rack and stacking duties.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards.
- Experience in repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Competence in system upgrading procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to perform asset management, including physical asset audits.
- Attention to detail in tracking inventory.
Remarks:
- This position requires physical presence onsite during the specified work hours.
- Asset management duties include conducting 4 physical asset audits per year and tracking inventory as needed.
