Must Have

  • Works semi-independently with little supervision in a lab environment. * General hardware assembly, firmware/OS flashing, and deployment of systems to test benches or racks. * Troubleshoots general system boot or connectivity issues * Works with Custom CPU engineers across a wide range of areas and understands how to execute tests and collect data efficiently. * May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assignments are semi routine in nature. * Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. * Normally receives general instructions on most work. * Requires good verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. * Assist with shipping/receiving and entering new hardware into inventory systems * Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; attention to detail is a must.

High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 2+ years of Engineer Technician or related work experience (Work Experience should in a background that required troubleshooting, problem solving in an electrical engineering tech role)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Independently sets up and maintains benches, testers, and other equipment. Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures complex equipment and components.
* Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own function to troubleshoot and perform moderately complex repair work, rework, removal, and modifications to equipment as necessary.
* Sets up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform complex tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
* Guides others and documents test results, KPIs, and other outcomes, and maintains malfunction records.
* Executes manual and automated test plans and provides input on test cases and test procedures. Reproduces and debugs complex issues. Documents changes to processes or SOP.
* Tracks the purchasing, shipping/transporting, receiving and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projects.

Level of Responsibility:
* Works under supervision.
* Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
* Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
* Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals.
