Responsibilities
Job Summary: Works with assigned customers/areas to translate business requirements into application/system solutions.
- Data collection and preparation: Gathering data from various sources, cleaning and structuring it to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Data exploration and analysis: Utilizing statistical techniques to identify patterns, relationships, and trends within the data.
- Data visualization: Creating clear and compelling visual representations of data findings using charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
- Reporting and presentation: Preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate key findings to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Collaboration: Working with different departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights to support business objectives.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Serves customers as a key point of contact. Manages customer expectations and ensures prompt and complete customer service. Forms productive networks with internal and external customers and the vendor community. Produces project plans, RFP's, and RFI's. Customizes presentations to the interests of the audience.
- Conducts diagnosis of most business problems. Designs, directs and performs analyses to resolve complex first-time project issues including analysis of technical and economic feasibility of proposed system solutions.
- Designs projects with broad implications requiring systems integration of one or more technical platforms. Leads design sessions by presenting logical statements of business problems and designs.
- Participates in the design of technical requirements for the application/solution.
- Serves as a staff resource and mentor regarding understanding of architectural systems.
The ideal candidate has the following skills:
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data
- Programming languages like Python or R for data analysis and manipulation
- Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with database management systems
- Analytical skills:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Statistical analysis and interpretation
- Ability to identify relevant data patterns and trends
- Communication skills:
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication to effectively present findings
- Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
