RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Architect in Roswell, GA.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric to lead the design, development, and implementation of modern data solutions across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud data platforms, data governance, and analytics, with a particular focus on leveraging Microsoft Fabric to unify and optimize our data estate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Architect will design end-to-end enterprise data architecture strategies leveraging Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Dataflows, and Lakehouses
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and application developers to translate business requirements into scalable and secure data models
* Lead the implementation of data integration, data warehousing, and analytics solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Power BI, Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
* Establish and enforce best practices around data governance, security, and compliance within Microsoft Fabric and broader Azure environments
* Define and document data architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines
* As a Data Architect, you will evaluate new features and capabilities in Microsoft Fabric and recommend their adoption when aligned with business goals
* Mentor junior data team members and promote a data-driven culture across the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or business intelligence roles
* 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse architecture, Power BI Direct Lake mode, and Data Activator
* Experience with Power BI development and integration with Microsoft Fabric
* Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional and relational), metadata management, and performance optimization techniques
* Strong proficiency in Azure services including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
