Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized Lab Operations & Compliance Governance Lead to oversee the efficient running and regulatory compliance of the Firmware testing Lab. In this role, you will manage lab infrastructure and equipment, ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, and support engineering teams testing needs. Responsible for Infrastructure Utilization Reporting (IUR) and lab asset management, maintaining a safe and audit-ready environment while driving process improvements for operational excellence.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure Utilization Reporting (IUR) and capacity planning.
  • Hands-on QA experience in hardware and software
  • Experience with lab resource tracking systems and inventory management tools.
  • Ability to analyze utilization data for budgeting and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in equipment procurement, setup, calibration, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate asset records.
  • Knowledge of internal governance policies and external standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Understanding of lab safety protocols and data security practices.
  • Familiarity with environmental and corporate policies for hardware disposal.
  • Ability to liaise with firmware and hardware engineering teams to align lab resources with testing needs.
  • Experience coordinating test infrastructure setup and resolving lab-related issues.
  • Skilled in scheduling and prioritizing lab usage across multiple teams.
  • Strong documentation skills for SOPs, calibration logs, inventory lists, and maintenance records.
  • Experience preparing for and participating in internal and external audits.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining organized and accessible compliance records.
  • Experience implementing tools and workflows to improve lab efficiency and safety.
  • Ability to lead change management and communicate updates effectively to stakeholders.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (around 7+ years) managing laboratory or test facility operations in a technical environment (e.g., firmware, hardware, or electronics labs). Solid track record of handling equipment procurement, inventory management, and day-to-day lab supervision.
  • Compliance & Safety Knowledge.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to keep track of numerous assets, schedules, and procedures simultaneously. Attention to detail in maintaining records. Ability to generate clear and accurate reports (for IUR or similar metrics) and dashboards that inform management about lab utilization, capacity, and compliance status.
  • Preferred extensive prior experience leading a lab team or serving as a compliance officer/coordinator within a technical environment
