Our client in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Email QA Specialist to join their digital marketing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of marketing and transactional email campaigns by conducting detailed quality assurance reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design accuracy, a deep understanding of email rendering across platforms, and a collaborative mindset to help maintain high standards of brand integrity, accessibility, and user experience.

responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive QA reviews of marketing and transactional emails prior to deployment
  • Ensure emails align with design specifications, brand guidelines, and approved content
  • Validate responsive design and rendering across major email clients and devices (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, iOS Mail)
  • Identify and report design inconsistencies, layout issues, or content errors with precision
  • Confirm emails meet accessibility best practices and ADA compliance standards
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and marketers to address QA findings and ensure resolution
  • Create and maintain scalable QA checklists, processes, and documentation
  • Provide clear and actionable feedback to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor trends in email rendering and recommend QA best practices
  • Help foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the email production process


qualifications:


  • 2-4 years of experience in email quality assurance or digital marketing QA
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS for email, including responsive design principles
  • Familiarity with major email clients and rendering engines (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail)
  • Experience using email testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) as applied to email design
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Excellent attention to visual and content detail
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced marketing environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of email development and troubleshooting techniques
