**Job Description: Teamcenter Administration**
**Overview:**
As a Teamcenter Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the Teamcenter PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of Teamcenter and its alignment with business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **System Configuration and Customization:**
- Configure and customize Teamcenter according to business requirements.
- Implement system changes, including workflows, access controls, and user interface modifications.
- Maintain and update metadata structures, data models, and classifications within Teamcenter.
2. **User Management:**
- Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions in Teamcenter.
- Provide user training and support to ensure effective utilization of the system.
- Monitor user activity and address issues related to access or performance.
3. **Data Management:**
- Oversee data migration, import, and export processes within Teamcenter.
- Maintain data integrity and enforce data governance policies.
- Implement backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
4. **System Maintenance and Performance Optimization:**
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates and patches.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage server infrastructure and database administration.
5. **Integration and Interfacing:**
- Integrate Teamcenter with other enterprise systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- Develop and maintain interfaces and connectors to facilitate data exchange between systems.
6. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Generate reports and metrics to track system usage, performance, and compliance.
- Provide regular updates and communicate system changes to stakeholders.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Teamcenter Administrator or similar role in PLM administration.
- Strong understanding of PLM concepts and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter software and related modules.
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., NX, Solid Edge) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, C++) and scripting (e.g., TCL, VBScript).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in Teamcenter administration or related PLM technologies is a plus.
