Jumper Technician

We are seeking a skilled Jumper Technician to join our expanding team in CO. The ideal candidate will support critical client operations by providing connectivity solutions between the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and switching infrastructure.

You will be an integral part of our mission to deliver seamless communication infrastructure while upholding NETS International s core values of integrity, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and route 2-wire jumpers between the MDF and switching infrastructure according to provided schedules and technical specifications.
  • Terminate 2-wire jumpers using proper twist-and-tip soldering or IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) tools.
  • Conduct pre-changeover testing of 2-wire circuits to ensure quality and continuity.
  • Safely remove obsolete and redundant wiring as outlined in project job packs.
  • Provide, terminate, and test 2Mb coaxial circuits between Digital Distribution Frames (DDFs).
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering and field teams during service migrations and changeovers.
  • Support the decommissioning and removal of legacy switch infrastructures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with all NETS International safety procedures.
  • Accurately document network changes by labeling equipment and updating configuration records.
  • Escalate technical issues appropriately and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold the company s commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction in all project deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience working with Main Distribution Frames (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF).
  • HN1 Basic Frames Accreditation and HN4 Frames Accreditation (or equivalent recognized certifications).
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques and the use of IDC tools.
  • Skilled in assembling and testing 3002 coaxial circuits.
  • Strong technical understanding of Public Switched Telephone Networks (PSTN).
  • Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail.
  • Valid and clean U.S. driver s license.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years in IT or telecommunications roles.
  • Prior experience handling high-volume PSTN frames.
  • Familiarity with provisioning 2-wire services, ISDN 2, ISDN 30, and 2Mb circuit installations.
