Job Details
Enterprise Architect Infrastructure Services to lead the design, governance, and transformation of client s core infrastructure landscape. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure platforms that support critical clinical systems, operational applications, and hospital-wide digital initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in healthcare IT infrastructure including data centers, hybrid cloud, network, compute, storage, and cybersecurity within regulated healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Roadmap
Define and maintain the client s enterprise infrastructure architecture covering compute, storage, network, virtualization, cloud, and endpoint systems.
Develop multi-year roadmaps for infrastructure modernization aligned to digital health strategy and operational goals.
Drive standardization across sites and systems, reducing complexity and technical debt.
Healthcare IT Enablement
Ensure infrastructure services can meet the high-availability and low-latency needs of clinical applications such as EHR (Epic/Cerner), PACS, LIS, and RTLS.
Design and support integration with biomedical and IoT devices across ICU, surgical, and imaging environments.
Cloud Strategy & Execution
Define and lead the hybrid cloud strategy (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), including infrastructure-as-code, container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud-native services.
Evaluate cloud workloads for scalability, cost optimization, and compliance.
Resilience, Continuity, & Performance
Lead the development of infrastructure resilience strategies including disaster recovery (DR), failover architectures, backup/recovery, and business continuity.
Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance to ensure clinical systems meet uptime SLAs.
Cybersecurity & Compliance Support
Partner with security teams to design infrastructure aligned with zero trust, segmentation, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
Ensure infrastructure meets HIPAA, HITECH, NIST, and Joint Commission compliance.
Operations & Service Integration
Work closely with IT operations, service desk, and managed service providers to ensure smooth transitions from architecture to run-state.
Support ITSM processes (CMDB, incident, change, asset management) with reliable infrastructure solutions.
Governance & Collaboration
Chair the Infrastructure Architecture Review Board; define architectural standards, blueprints, and patterns.
Collaborate with clinical, operations, and digital health teams to understand requirements and translate into infrastructure solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master s preferred).
- Certifications: TOGAF, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform Architecture, VCP, CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent.
- Preferred: ITIL, CISSP, HCISPP.
- Experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years in architecture and strategy within a hospital or healthcare system.
- Proven leadership in designing and implementing infrastructure for mission-critical, 24x7 healthcare environments.
- Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, SD-WAN), data center technologies, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage solutions (SAN/NAS), and cloud platforms.
- Deep experience in infrastructure automation, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, secure architecture, and audit requirements in healthcare.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability in high-pressure clinical environments.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive consensus across technical and clinical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supporting high-acuity clinical environments (ER, OR, ICU).
- Familiarity with smart hospital infrastructure, real-time location services (RTLS), and medical device connectivity.
- Experience with IT/OT convergence and managing infrastructure in regulated environments (FDA, CMS).
Work Environment & Reporting
- Reports to: Delivery Partner of Infrastructure Services
- Hybrid work model with regular on-site presence required for hospital initiatives, audits, and stakeholder meetings.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
