This team requests EST hours and we prefer candidates able to work hybrid from our Dearborn, MI office.
Deploy the Ford Wind Noise Development process and help optimize current and future Ford vehicles for wind noise performance
Leverage Ford's world class aero-acoustic wind tunnel to support vehicle development and utilize advanced wind tunnel tools like interior and exterior microphone array systems
Utilize and develop CAE and physical test-based methods to develop vehicle wind noise
Use CAD tools to review future vehicle designs and confirm they are meeting best practices
Leverage computational aero-acoustics to develop deep wind noise understanding
Continuously improving and developing new data mining tools to maximize the benefits of wind noise databases
Identifying and implementing innovation towards improving process efficiency, agility, quality, and data clarity
Work will primarily be done on-site (i.e. not remote), collaborating with team members, working on parts and vehicles in the test garage and labs.
You'll have...
BS in Aero/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
2+ years of industry experience performing physical and/or CAE-based vehicle development
2+ years of experience using CAD tools (i.e. Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, ANSA etc.)
Self-directed and confident individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Excellent planning and issue resolution skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills

MS Engineering Degree
Industry experience with vehicle development in automotive wind tunnels
Experience using NVH data acquisition systems (i.e. Artemis, Testlab, etc.)
Knowledge and experience with signal processing and psychoacoustic metrics
Experience running and/or utilizing CFD simulation results
Knowledge of automotive vehicle design and architectures
Experience with Python, Matlab, and or other programing tools
