Job Details
Skill: Infrastructure Engineer
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- Summary: Install, configure, and support an organizations local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet system or a segment of a network system.
- 8+ years experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time. Strong ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
- Strong knowledge of networking computer hardware and software.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Direct staff to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Review and approve the planning and implementation of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Review and approve the design, configuration and testing of computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and counsel organization on where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Present system flow diagrams to organization and review and approve systems procedures.
- Supervise systems implementation.
- Supervise and assist in computer networking and computer operation functions.
