Job Details:
 
Summary: 
Help migrate banking systems from traditional data centers to the Azure cloud by supporting infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes.
 
Core Responsibilities (What the candidate will actually do):
  1. Windows Server & Active Directory Support
    • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers.
    • Work with user authentication systems (both on-prem and cloud-based).
  2. System Integration & Troubleshooting
    • Solve problems when different systems don t work well together.
    • Example: Fixing issues like authentication failures between deployment tools and servers.
  3. Networking Basics
    • Understand how systems connect and communicate.
    • Example: Diagnosing why a job fails due to network or firewall issues.
  4. Automation with PowerShell
    • Be able to write scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
    • Example: Automatically resetting locked users or exporting job data.
  5. Monitoring & Infrastructure Operations
    • Keep systems running smoothly and monitor for issues.
    • Example: Setting up alerts for database size limits or failed jobs.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Ansible Automation
    • Used for automating server setup and configuration.
  • Cloud Experience (Azure)
    • Familiarity with Azure services like VMs, SQL databases, and Data Factory (ADF).
    • Example: Creating ADF jobs to export data for Splunk monitoring.
  • CI/CD Tools (Harness, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
    • Tools used to automate code deployment.
    • Example: Scheduling deployments for our servers in Dev. Environment
  • Version Control (Git)
    • Track changes to code and scripts.
  • Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Web Inspect)
    • Used to detect and alert on system issues.
    • Example: Splunk alerts for failed ADF jobs or bad config files.
  • Strong Troubleshooting & Communication Skills
    • Ability to work with multiple teams (infra, vendors, etc.) to solve problems.
    • Example: Escalating issues with Harness authentication on non-domain joined VMs.
Experience in Coding with SQL, and .NET.
