Project Description

A client of ours is undertaking a significant network infrastructure upgrade, involving the replacement and migration of equipment across multiple data closets. We are seeking skilled professional(s) to join this project team. These individuals will play a critical role in ensuring smooth transitions by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, handling physical equipment moves, migrating cabling, and updating network management systems.
This project is expected to span 6-9 months. While internal staff will manage major configurations and overnight cutovers, these roles will focus on daytime coordination, physical migrations, documentation, and post-move support

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external contractors to schedule and execute network closet migrations.
  • Assist with racking/un-racking equipment and migrating cabling to new switches and routers.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking, labeling, and documentation throughout the migration process.
  • Support IP address updates and verify connectivity post-migration.
  • Update network management systems, including:
    • IPAM tools (e.g., Infoblox)
    • Network Access Control (e.g., Cisco ISE)
    • Monitoring and Management Platforms (e.g., Catalyst Center)
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across network, server, application, and clinical IT teams to minimize service disruptions.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting post-migration to validate configurations, cabling integrity, and system access.
  • Ensure all changes are documented with diagrams, schedules, and rollback plans.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
