Cleared Data Scientist / Full-scope Polygraph / FSP

Job Overview:

Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Data Scientist with a profound background in defense contracting and analytics, holding an active Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance.

As a key member of their advanced analytics team, you will play a critical role in shaping data-driven strategies, developing innovative solutions, and contributing to the success of classified projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of defense and intelligence operations, coupled with expertise in advanced data science methodologies including machine learning, deep learning, geospatial analysis, textual analytics, anomaly detection, and more.

Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Analytics and Modeling:
   
   • Lead the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models, statistical analyses, and predictive algorithms to extract actionable intelligence from complex and classified datasets.
2. Security-Centric Data Science:
   
   • Design and execute data science initiatives while ensuring strict adherence to security protocols and compliance standards associated with Full-Scope Polygraph clearances.
3. Collaboration and Leadership:
   
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and security experts, to define data requirements, develop models, and implement solutions that align with defense contracting objectives.
   • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
4. Threat Intelligence and Analysis:
   
   • Contribute to threat intelligence analysis by utilizing advanced data science techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies relevant to national security.
5. Data Exploration and Visualization:
   
   • Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden insights in classified datasets.
   • Create visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate findings to internal stakeholders, including government agencies.
6. Model Deployment and Operationalization:
   
   • Oversee the deployment of machine learning models into operational systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing defense contracting workflows.

Qualifications:

1. Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
2. Full-Scope Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
3. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, and R, and proficiency in relevant machine learning frameworks.
4. Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases such as SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, and PostGres.
5. Strong knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
6. Expertise in one of the following areas: natural language processing (NLP), large language modeling (LLM), anomaly detection, geospatial analysis, computer vision (CV), or similar.
7. Proven track record of applying data science methodologies to solve complex defense and security challenges.
8. Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
