Job Details

A leading global quantitative trading firm that develops and implements quantitative trading strategies in exchange-traded financial products is looking to bring on a Trade Operations Engineer to join a fully onsite team in downtown Chicago.

You will play a key role in managing the live production trading system. This is a core operations-focused role centered on risk management, live monitoring of trading systems, and improving day-to-day operations. Collaborate closely with trading and technology teams to ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, while working alongside other operations professionals.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a computing related area
  • Basic programming ability (coding test required)
  • Genuine interest in finance and trading
  • Superior ability to perform under pressure and handle time-sensitive triage work with a very low error rate
  • Strong understanding of complex systems and ability to troubleshoot technical problems
  • Ability to work both in a collaborative team setting and autonomously
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with C++ or other statically typed imperative programming languages
  • Familiarity with application configuration and software deployments
  • Experience working in high-pressure, time-critical operational environments
