Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst Consultant
Location: Columbia, SC - Hybrid (4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)
Duration: 12-Month Contract


Project Overview

Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support enterprise-level healthcare IT projects within a public-sector environment. This role partners closely with a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure quality standards, governance, and testing best practices are consistently applied across healthcare-related systems and applications.


Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for validating technical solutions by planning, executing, and documenting comprehensive testing activities. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, stability, and alignment with business and healthcare operational requirements through manual and automated testing methods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, regression, usability, and negative testing on technical applications

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and QA/UAT processes

  • Translate business requirements and policy documentation into detailed test scenarios

  • Maintain SDLC traceability from requirements through test execution

  • Conduct user interface testing and support regression testing cycles

  • Design, execute, and support automated testing scripts

  • Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution processes

  • Create and maintain QA documentation, reports, and test results

  • Communicate testing status, defects, and risks to development and project teams

  • Adhere to established QA governance standards, policies, and best practices

  • Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections to ensure quality compliance


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field (experience may substitute for education)

  • 5+ years of experience translating business requirements into test cases and test scenarios

  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare operations business processes

  • 3+ years of experience using manual and/or automated testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence)


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with large enterprise or e-business systems

  • 3+ years of experience working in both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile environments

  • Experience supporting healthcare operations, including Medicaid-related systems


Certifications

  • No certifications required

  • Technical or Project Management certifications are a plus
