As a member of the RMS C6ISR Electronic, Cyber and Information Warfare (ECIW) Business Development team this individual will support our market segment growth objectives consistent with our Tactical SIGINT market strategies. This individual will interface with customers primarily in the Department of Defense.
The focus of this position is on customer engagement (establishing and executing contact plans, conducting customer workshops and demonstrations, and understanding customer requirements), keeping current business sold, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities consistent with our growth strategies, responding to proposals and closing on new business orders. This individual will be responsible for supporting the growth of our annual orders and sales with specific focus on the DoD (Submarine BLQ 10 and Maritime Surface and AIR SIGINT Opportunities).
Provide conference and trade show leadership as the representative of the RMS C6ISR BD Organization. This will entail collaboration and working with Lockheed Martin Communications, Washington Operations, Corporate Business Development, Corporate Strategic Development, Corporate CTO, Corporate Treasury and others as required
Establishing and executing win and growth strategies and investment plans.
New Business Funds / Opportunity Hub Management
support in development of Integrated Resource Planning, Long Range Planning and Strategic Financial Model activities
Measures of effectiveness of the individual in this position will include:
- Ability to identify, qualify, shape, and win new business ECIW opportunities
- Ability to establish market focused growth strategies
- Developing and growing the new business pipeline
- Capturing profitable and strategic new business
- Building strong internal and external capture teams
- Ability to penetrate new and adjacent markets
Position will be located at Syracuse NY or Washington DC / Annapolis Junction, MD

Basic Qualifications

Previous Experience in DOD-related Business Development
Established and successful reputation in the business market, relationships
An aptitude for strategic, financial analysis, capture management and teaming
Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external senior executives
Knowledge and experience of the federal acquisition process and Capture management of DoD Acquisition Programs
Proactive, superior attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
Business acumen, strong analytical and problem solving skills, reliability and sound judgment
Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement
Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations
Proclivity towards teaming and collaboration--must be a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
