Job Title: Prompt Engineering Technical Writer Location: New York, NY (Hybrid 2-3 Days Onsite)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Prompt Engineering Technical Writer to join our team in New York. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of prompt engineering, technical documentation, UI/UX design, and business analysis. The ideal candidate will collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams to craft intelligent AI prompts, build intuitive user interfaces, and produce clear, scalable documentation that bridges the gap between backend systems and user-facing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Prompt Engineering & AI Integration

Design, test, and optimize prompts for AI/LLM-based systems to ensure contextual accuracy and responsiveness.

Develop reusable prompt templates and modular prompt frameworks for scalability.

Analyze AI output quality and user interactions to refine prompts iteratively.

Collaborate with cloud and software engineers to embed AI into robust system architectures.

Technical Writing & Documentation

Create comprehensive and user-friendly documentation for AI systems, APIs, workflows, and UI components.

Draft user guides, FAQs, training content, and internal manuals tailored to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.

Keep documentation current with evolving product features, system changes, and business processes.

Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language.

UI/UX & Interface Design

Design and prototype user interfaces that support usability and accessibility of AI-powered solutions.

Work closely with frontend engineers to implement intuitive UI/UX aligned with business workflows.

Conduct user research and usability testing to validate interface improvements and inform product design.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy

Partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Align documentation and system design with business goals to drive operational value and user adoption.

Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Stay informed on AI/LLM advancements, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to guide innovation.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in prompt engineering, technical writing, or AI system integration.

Strong understanding of AI/LLM capabilities, prompt optimization techniques, and user behavior analysis.

Solid background in technical documentation practices, with experience using tools like Markdown, Confluence, or similar.

Familiarity with UI/UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD a plus.

Experience working with REST APIs, cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), and Agile environments.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Technical Communication, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of NLP/LLM technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere).

Experience working in enterprise environments or SaaS products.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
