Lead Data Engineer (Gaming)

A gaming company that partners with professional gamers and eSports teams to provide software that tracks gameplay data for the top competitive multiplayer games is hiring a Lead Data Engineer to join their team. One of their upcoming projects involves creating mod packs that deliver AI powered features to several different gaming engines. You will be developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy, focusing on data collection, storage, analysis, and utilization to enhance user experiences. This will involve overseeing the design and maintenance of data pipelines using Python, Spark/PySpark, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, SQL and visualizations such as Tableau or Power BI. You will also assist on implementing data architecture best practices, including data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions. This position will be onsite Monday - Thursday in Culver City, CA, with optional work from home on Friday. Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ yrs. of Data Engineering Experience
• Proficiency in programming languages/tools such as Python, Spark/PySpark, SQL
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
• In-Depth knowledge of cloud-based data solutions in Google Cloud Platform & BigQuery

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelors in STEM field
• Experience with ML techniques and frameworks for gaming data analysis
• Familiarity with gaming industry products and competition landscape
