V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Platform Engineer III for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Education and Experience
- Technical Degree or related work experience.
- Lean Six Sigma certification and/or experience.
- Experience in IT operations and system administration.
- Experience building robust monitoring solutions utilizing Dynatrace.
- Experience with scripting/programming and engineering of infrastructure batch and monitoring tools.
- Experience in software/systems development.
- Experience in System administration, preferably in multiple platforms: Windows, Linux and Cloud.
- Experience with automation/configuration software (puppet, ansible), and/or orchestration software (docker swarm, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Understanding of computer networks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must Have:
- Dynatrace monitoring.
- Lean Six Sigma Principles.
- Python.
Nice To Have:
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- SiteScope.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, upgrade and support production monitoring solutions.
- Drive change to improve and maintain the company platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability.
- Participate in the implementation of improvements as needed.
- Evaluate tools, automation and frameworks supporting monitoring, batch and reporting functions, identifying recommended improvements / changes.
- Evaluate manual processes and procedures and identifying automation opportunities.
- Evaluate application support documentation for accuracy and completeness and identify areas that are not adequately documented.
- Engineering and support of monitoring tools.
- Troubleshooting, Incident escalation and problem solving, including assisting in driving root cause analysis and prevention.
- Analyze and offer recommendations for improved deployment strategies for client-facing and internal systems.
