- Lead the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of virtualized environments including VMware SDDC, HCI, and hybrid cloud platforms (e.g., VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution).
- Ensure seamless integration with device management systems and enterprise platforms.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Continuously monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
- Perform advanced diagnostics for web, data, and application servers to maintain reliable cloud-managed services.
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain automated solutions using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell DSC to streamline infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Virtual Machine & Container Management
- Oversee the lifecycle of virtual machines (VMs), virtual desktops (VDI), and containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes) for modern application delivery.
- Infrastructure Management
- Manage and optimize both hyper-converged and traditional server environments.
- Configure and administer software-defined networking (SDN) and software-defined storage (SDS) within the VMware ecosystem.
- Hardware & Cloud Strategy
- Provide expert recommendations on server, storage, and cloud resources to support scalability.
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to evaluate emerging technologies and plan for infrastructure growth.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement robust infrastructure security measures including micro-segmentation, zero-trust architectures, and align solutions with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
- 7+ years in virtualization architecture and engineering.
- 5+ years in customer service or client-facing technical roles.
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise with VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, Horizon, and VMware Cloud platforms.
- Strong experience with HCI platforms (e.g., Dell VxRail, Nutanix).
- Proficiency with automation and scripting tools: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud integration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to document architectures, processes, and SOPs clearly.
Preferred Certifications (not mandatory, but highly desired):
- VMware Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
