RPA Business Analyst
An RPA Business Analyst identifies, analyzes, and documents business processes for automation using
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements from
stakeholders, designing automation solutions, and working with developers to ensure successful
implementation and alignment with business goals. The role requires strong analytical and problem-
solving skills, communication abilities, and proficiency in process assessment and design.
Core responsibilities:
Process analysis: Evaluate existing business processes to identify automation opportunities and
document current pain points.
Requirements gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document detailed
business requirements for the automation project.
Solution design: Design automated workflows that meet business needs and improve efficiency.
This includes creating documentation like Process Design Documents (PDD).
Implementation oversight: Work closely with RPA developers to ensure the successful
implementation of bots and solutions.
Documentation and validation: Create process documentation and validate that the automation
outcomes meet business goals.
Change management: Help facilitate the transition to automated processes and ensure
stakeholder buy-in.
Required skills and qualifications:
Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to quickly identify and address issues.
Familiarity with RPA tools and methodologies.
Communication skills: Effectively interact with both business and technical teams.
Process mapping: Experience with creating both "as-is" and "to-be" process maps.
Business acumen: An understanding of how automation aligns with broader business objectives.
Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field like computer science, information technology,
or business is often required. In addition to RPA professional certifications.
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining existing and new applications; knowing one or more programming languages; knowing one or more development methodologies / delivery models. To be successful in this role, a person would have strong experience with Big Data / Hadoop / Spark development.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree and 4 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 6 year Information Technology experience OR 8 years Information Technology experience.
Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers, as applicable.
Experience in traditional app languages (Java / Scala / C++).
Experience in scripting languages (BASH / PYTHON).
Experience in cloud computing technologies (SaaS / IaaS / PaaS)
Experience in application configuration.
SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development).
System performance management.
Systems change / configuration management.
Business requirements management.
Problem solving /analytical thinking.
Creative thinking.
Ability to execute.
Travel availability up to 20%
Preferred Job Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience with UIPath OR 3 years of experience with other RPA platform(s) (Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.)
At least 3 years of experience in several areas of RPA (Desktop Applications, Web Applications, Citrix
Environments, Salesforce, Excel, Mainframe and/or Legacy Systems)
Previous hands-on experience with at least one high level programming language (.Net, Java, VB, C#/C,
HTML/CSS, Python, Web Services, Mainframe, Web Applications, SQL, Data Integration Tools, Technical
Automation Tools)
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Strong CI/CD and DevOps ( shift left ) mindset
UiPath Advanced Certification
Lead Engineer qualities to provide driven results to product teams and capabilities to guide new and junior team members
