POSITION OVERVIEW : ABAP Workflow and Bartender POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS : 1. Using ABAP Workflow Events:

ABAP workflows can be designed to trigger when specific events occur in SAP, like a purchase order being created, a shipment being processed, or a material being moved. These events can then be used to initiate a workflow step that calls a BarTender print job. For example, an event could be defined to trigger when a new shipment is created, which in turn would start a workflow that prints the shipping labels using BarTender.

  1. Utilizing BarTender Commander:

BarTender Commander is a software utility that enables automatic printing using BarTender. It can be used in conjunction with ABAP workflows to trigger label printing based on data from the SAP system. ABAP workflows can use Commander to access BarTender and initiate printing of specific labels.

  1. SAP-AII:

The SAP-AII (Advanced Interface) can be used to connect ABAP workflows with BarTender. This allows data from SAP to be transferred to BarTender for printing, and events within SAP can be used to trigger the printing process.
