Business Analyst Workday, Smartsheet & Root Cause Analysis

Location: Downtown, LA (Hybrid) (Local candidates only)

Duration: 6 + Months


Job Summary

The right candidate will have experience a workday Installation and served in the roles of We re seeking a Business Analyst with a unique blend of Smartsheet expertise and analytical problem-solving skills to identify organizational needs and process gaps. This role will support strategic initiatives by conducting interviews, performing root cause and gap analyses, and translating insights into actionable solutions using Smartsheet and other tools.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and administer Smartsheet solutions including forms, workflows, dashboards, and reports.

Conduct needs analysis and gap analysis through structured stakeholder interviews and data gathering.

Perform root cause analysis to uncover process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Translate business problems into visual workflows and task management systems using Smartsheet.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align solutions with business objectives.

Document findings and present clear recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience in business analysis, operations, or process improvement roles.

Proven experience with Smartsheet, including advanced features (automation, formulas, dashboards).

Strong knowledge of root cause methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams).

Experience conducting interviews, workshops, and structured stakeholder engagement sessions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
