Seeking a seasoned Strategic Advisor with deep engineering leadership experience to conduct a comprehensive assessment of an Engineering Team's structure, operational efficiency, and technical practices. The objective is to identify high-potential talent, evaluate current processes and technologies, and deliver actionable recommendations for scaling, all while preserving the organization's established culture.


This interim role is ideal for a thoughtful leader who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments and understands the complexities of financial services technology.


Key Responsibilities




  • Design and execute a comprehensive evaluation of the Engineering Team, including leadership, structure, work flows, and technology stack




  • Assess the effectiveness of current engineering management with discretion and professionalism




  • Conduct one-on-one interviews with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand individual contributions, responsibilities, and career aspirations




  • Identify high-potential talent and surface skill gaps across the team




  • Review project scoping, execution, and delivery methodologies to identify inefficiencies




  • Recommend process improvements to enhance agility, transparency, and scalability




  • Analyze the current tech stack (e.g., Python, SQL) and explore opportunities to integrate open-source tools or AI-driven solutions




  • Propose restructuring options, if necessary, to optimize team performance and scalability




  • Provide objective feedback and strategic options for leadership development or transition planning




  • Suggest enhancements to development work flows, tooling, and architectural practices

  • Proven leadership experience in financial services, trading, or capital markets




  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling engineering teams




  • Strong strategic and technical acumen with a track record of driving organizational change




  • Deep understanding of modern engineering practices, development workflows, and scalable architectures
