Position: Senior JIRA Administrator/Engineer

Location: Caldwell, NJ

Duration: Long-term Contract

Overview: We are seeking a Senior JIRA Administrator/Engineer to join our team, focusing on infrastructure management and administration. This role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing JIRA instances, along with managing servers, installs, and patches. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS environments, particularly in containerized setups, and must possess strong expertise in Crowd and Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain JIRA Software/Data Center instances.

  • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations of JIRA instances.

  • Manage JIRA servers and ensure high availability and performance.

  • Implement and maintain integrations with Crowd for user management.

  • Configure and optimize Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for JIRA.

  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Monitor system stability and performance, and ensure compliance with security standards.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a JIRA Administrator/Engineer in enterprise environments.

  • Strong proficiency in AWS services and deployments within containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Deep understanding of Crowd for user management and SSO solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with JIRA installations, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Solid understanding of system administration and IT infrastructure.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in JIRA Administration or relevant AWS certifications.

  • Experience with other Atlassian tools (Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
