Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with data engineering experience to join our client's team.
- This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SQL queries and managing data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise and hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions for analytical and operational workloads.
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources.
- Develop and manage data models and database schemas for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver clean, reliable, and well-documented data.
- Monitor data quality and implement data validation and profiling checks.
- Participate in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Work with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Use tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar to orchestrate and manage data workflows.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Support CI/CD practices for data pipelines and version control using Git.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in SQL development and database design.
- Solid understanding of relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Proficiency in data pipeline and orchestration tools
- Experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
