Position: Data Warehouse/BI Developer

Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)

Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes using SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
  • Develop scalable data models (star schema, fact/dimension tables) and maintain metadata documentation.
  • Create complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize performance for large datasets.
  • Integrate data from various sources (databases, flat files, APIs, cloud storage).
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports in Power BI Service.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and lineage across all solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve data anomalies, ETL failures, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments, utilizing source control and CI/CD pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (highly desired).
  • 3 5 years experience in data warehouse and BI development.
  • Proficiency with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong SQL development skills and experience with large datasets.
  • Experience building star schema models and Power BI Service.
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality, and lineage principles.
  • Experience integrating diverse data sources.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
