Job Description:
- First Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30 pm + OT as required
- Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
- Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
- Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
- May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
- May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
LEVELING REQUIREMENTS:
- SKILL: Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making. Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- SUPERVISION: Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
EXPERIENCE:
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience and/or BA
Optical assembly of modules
- Build, inspect, and test optical modules
- Follow procedures and checklists in order to build modules
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to optical assembly
- Make sure specs are met during optical assembly and testing
- Work inside a class 100 cleanroom
- You are able to use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches and calipers.
- You demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
- You are dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- A demonstrated ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignments.
- A willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement.
- You are able to work extended hours, including weekends.
- You are able to stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
