Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior SAS Developer to join our dynamic analytics team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Base SAS, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Viya, and SAS Advanced programming, along with basic proficiency in Python. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SAS-based solutions to support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain SAS programs using Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, and SAS Viya to support data processing, ETL workflows, and advanced analytics.
• Create and optimize data models, reports, and dashboards using SAS tools to meet business requirements.
• Leverage SAS Advanced techniques (e.g., macros, PROC SQL, and statistical procedures) to perform complex data analysis and reporting.
• Integrate SAS solutions with other systems and platforms, utilizing basic Python scripting for data manipulation and automation tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of datasets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAS applications and processes.
• Document code, workflows, and processes to maintain clear and comprehensive project records.
• Stay updated on SAS advancements and best practices, including SAS Viya s cloud-enabled analytics capabilities.
• Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 8 +years of experience in SAS development, with proficiency in Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, and SAS Viya.
• Strong knowledge of SAS Advanced programming, including macros, PROC SQL, SAS/STAT, and SAS/GRAPH.
• 1 2 years of experience with basic Python programming for data manipulation (e.g., using pandas, numpy) and integration with SAS.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in SAS tools: Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, SAS Viya, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Visual Analytics.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL querying.
• Basic Python skills for scripting, data preprocessing, and integration with SAS (e.g., using SASPy or JupyterLab).
• Understanding of data management concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Soft Skills:

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and SAS Viya s cloud-native capabilities.
• Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., R, JavaScript) or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
