Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. This role requires expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance system performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable enterprise storage networks to meet organizational needs.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
Oversee the administration of Windows and Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Conduct in-depth performance analysis and capacity planning for large-scale computer infrastructures.
Research and recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with teams to integrate technology solutions that address application requirements.
Be the Kubernetes SME!
Provide expertise in backup and recovery technologies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Facilitate technical meetings and contribute to team decision-making processes.
Monitor and support enterprise systems beyond standard business hours as needed.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
Expert level knowledge in Kubernetes.
Advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Shell Scripting.
Expert-level knowledge of either Windows or Linux system administration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with Dell EMC, Cisco, Citrix, and other enterprise technologies.
Strong understanding of SAN (Storage Area Network) and backup/recovery systems.
Proven ability to conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for complex infrastructures.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
