Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) Engineer II to join our team. This role involves supporting our FEED responsibilities and capabilities, focusing on cost estimation and project scope development for interconnects and meter stations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with specific experience in cost estimating. This position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for a balanced approach between office and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Estimate costs for interconnects and meter stations, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs for projects ranging from tactical to mega expansions.
- Develop initial scope and cost estimates to support business development and commercial services in defining technical and project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including commercial, project/business development, and regulatory to optimize project facilities and meet customer requirements.
- Prepare Class III, IV, and V estimates for both green and brown field interconnect and meter stations.
- Conduct capacity studies and provide preliminary desk-top scope and estimate documentation for reimbursable interconnect projects.
- Engage with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to gather cost data and budgetary information to support project estimates.
- Communicate with various stakeholders to ensure project buy-in and determine the financial viability of projects.
- Create preliminary meter station schematics and assist in the review of Interconnect and Facility Agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in engineering with a focus on cost estimating.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including MS Excel and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of safety requirements and industry operational standards.
- Ability to produce results and meet goals independently on mid-sized projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret internal and external customer needs.
- Experience working on engineering projects covering multiple subject areas.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with teams and champion safety standards and processes.
- Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Pay Range: $40.00 - $42.00 Per hour
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
