Description

We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Contract-to-Permanent role, it offers an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to contribute to innovative solutions while advancing their careers. This is an onsite role in Jacksonville, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineer electrical distribution systems (low to medium voltage), crafting detailed single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and electrical layouts.
  • Specify and select critical components like MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and distribution panels.
  • Develop tailored control solutions based on in-depth project analysis, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Produce and manage essential technical documentation, including equipment specs and system schematics.
  • Conduct comprehensive electrical system studies, covering load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash, and coordination.
  • Lead field inspections and system start-ups to validate performance and operational integrity.
  • Deliver remote technical support to optimize systems and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate across teams (project management, field service, clients) for smooth project delivery.
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, consistently meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Analyze customer requirements and project goals to guide system design.


Requirements

Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical schematics and layouts.

Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Adept at managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for client and team interaction.

Analytical problem-solver for system diagnosis and solution identification.

Solid understanding of national and local electrical codes.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field preferred; 2+ years of relevant experience.
