Description:
Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer - Renewables
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Work Location: Onsite in Dickinson, SD

Job Description:
Our client is seeking Geotechnical Engineers with expertise in renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and transmission. This role involves managing moderate to complex geotechnical engineering efforts and providing technical leadership for large-scale renewable energy developments.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop scopes of work and proposals for geotechnical engineering projects in the solar energy sector
  • Conduct engineering analysis and provide geotechnical recommendations
  • Review field logs and soil samples; prepare logs and engineering reports
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and safety for routine to complex projects
  • Perform quality reviews and resolve internal/external quality issues
  • Coordinate with regional operations to manage staff and resources
  • Support client relationships and contribute to renewable energy market strategies
  • Conduct field testing and technician training as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or related Engineering field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within two years
  • 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing (preferred)
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%

  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or in teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
