Sr. Business & Data Analyst 

Hybrid – Metropark, NJ | ~$180K**

Summary:
Seeking a strong Business/Data Analyst to support data sourcing, data integration, and analytics for strategic data warehouse. This role requires deep product knowledge (derivatives, cash products, repos, commercial paper), strong SQL/data profiling skills, and the ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business/data analysis for integrating banking product data into the enterprise data warehouse.

  • Perform data profiling, mapping, validation, and testing across source and target systems.

  • Identify data patterns, inconsistencies, and exceptions; propose solutions.

  • Collaborate with business partners, technology teams, and participate in Agile/Scrum activities.

  • Create documentation (requirements, mappings, test results, procedures).

  • Support regulatory reporting data needs and become SME on product-level data.

  • Recommend process improvements and ensure data accuracy across platforms.

Required Skills (Non-negotiable)

  • 5–7+ years as a Business/Data Analyst in Financial Services.

  • Strong data warehousing understanding (cloud or dimensional).

  • Deep product knowledge: Derivatives, Repos/SFT, Cash/Bonds, Commercial Paper, Loans.

  • Strong SQL, data profiling, and data mapping experience.

  • Familiar with data flows used in regulatory reporting.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership potential.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and think strategically.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Snowflake, Python, PowerBI/Tableau.

  • Knowledge of database design and statistical tools (Excel, SAS, SPSS).

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Trello.

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.

Work Model

Hybrid – Metropark, NJ (5/10 model: 3 days in week one, 2 days in week two)
