ETL Developer

York IT Solutions is hiring ETL Developers in remote and contract capacity.

Role: ETL Developer
Location: Remote
Rate: $50-$60 an hr W2

Required Skills: Strong Informatica & PL/SQL skills

Primary Technologies
ETL Tools: Informatica and Snap Logic (currently used equally; new development prioritizes Snap Logic)
Database: Oracle PL/SQL (central to nearly all ETL development)
Scripting & OS: Perl and Unix for automation and back-end operations
Cloud Platform: AWS (current), with possible expansion to Google Cloud Platform in the next year
AWS Tools in Use
S3: Scalable data storage
EC2: Compute capacity for applications
Lambda: Serverless compute for event-driven tasks
Technical Requirements & Skill Expectations
PL/SQL
Must have very strong skills with PL/SQL
Should be proficient in:
Batching logic
Cursors and looping
Error handling and logging
Ability to write robust procedures and functions from scratch is essential
Solution Development
Candidates should be:
Capable of building solutions, not just supporting existing ones
Skilled in translating requirements into design and code
Demonstrate critical thinking and proactive problem-solving
Communication Skills
Must quickly understand technical and business requirements
Strong communication is crucial for:
Team collaboration
Problem resolution
Adaptability to fast-moving projects
Industry Background
Healthcare experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Broader technical excellence is prioritized over domain expertise
