Sr. Network Cisco Engineer/Architect
iSphere seeks a sSenior Cisco Network Engineer or Architect for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Houston, TX. The candidate must have expertise in Cisco and Fortinet Technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and operational expertise necessary to design and implement networks from inception to completion, including Racks. Experience in the oil and gas sector is preferred due to the specific requirements of our clientele. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure utilizing Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network architecture meets business requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, KATO, BLAN, and security LAN.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Azure networking.
- Familiarity with or experience in the PI application is desirable.
- Knowledge of ULTM, LIMBS, and Lab Systems or similar applications is a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering/architecture.
- Strong expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
- Experience with Azure networking.
- Knowledge of VLANs, KATO, BLAN, and security LAN.
- Familiarity with the PI application is preferred.
- Experience or understanding of ULTM, LIMBS, and Lab Systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Oil and gas industry experience is highly desirable.
