Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Digital Product Owner, Consumer Banking.

This role is Hybrid (2 days on-site) in Mclean, VA .

Summary

The Sr Digital Product Owner will work with Consumer Banking stakeholders to build and enhance deposit product capabilities, features and services that drive member engagement, member experience and deposit growth. This position will collaborate with key stakeholders and support our Agile/Technology team to develop and deliver new Checking, Savings and Certificate products and features that best serve our customers. The Sr. Digital Owner Manager will develop a deep understanding of business priorities and member needs to ensure prioritization of key technology initiatives and then manage them from concept/ideation to launch and ongoing performance monitoring.

Build and maintain a transformation roadmap that aligns with the overall strategic intent and communicate it to the Deposits and Consumer Banking Agile teams.

Provide industry experience and insights, and competitor research to solve challenges as they arise.

Assist Deposit Product Managers with ideation, concept design and business case creation for new products, services and features.

Accountable for defining and developing requirements (epics, features, user stories, user acceptance criteria) of value propositions for Deposits initiatives.

Drive consideration of how to deliver member value iteratively, through various launch phases and follow-on releases..

Prioritize Deposit backlog based on inflight and planned initiatives, identified priorities and resource constraints.

Represent the voice of the member with the delivery team and convey story details and business and member impacts to move delivery forward in alignment with overall product vision and strategy.

Collaborate with the Digital Banking team to ensure Deposit related acquisition and servicing capabilities are optimized to meet business need while delivering excellent member experience.

Partner with Business System Analyst and Scrum Master to groom the backlog of enhancements and determine features to deploy at the right time - based on need, feasibility, budget, capacity, and roadmap. Take responsibility for devising and executing the delivery plan for Deposits initiatives, working closely with the Scrum Master and Delivery Manager to address roadblocks.

Participate in Sprint Planning and ongoing reviews to ensure alignment between Deposits and Agile teams.

Participate in daily standups and weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly touchpoints with various teams.

Anticipate and recommend solutions/enhancements to enhance and optimize member experience across online/mobile banking.

Measure and track KPIs and metrics that inform roadmaps and enhancements.

Monitor performance / health of deposit products for online and mobile banking, identify potential issues and assist with defect tracking and root cause analysis of issues that impact member experience.

Work with internal/external teams to develop, conduct, and assess online user tests to identify future enhancement opportunities and testing strategies.

Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of controls for any issues raised by risk, compliance and controls.

Collaborate with Digital Banking, Experience Design, Technology, Operations, Marketing, and Compliance/BSA/AML partners to promote awareness and drive success.

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

Bachelors' degree in related field required; Masters' or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing digital banking experiences.

Experience developing software or products designed for a digitally savvy consumer and a strong understanding of deposit products and consumer banking interactions.

Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, strategic vision, and commitment to owning products from ideation to post-launch.

Knowledge of digital banking trends, partner ecosystems, and competitive strategies.

Ability to go deep on tech trends, architectural questions, stack control points, roadmaps, and influence dev-cycles.

Knowledge of emerging technologies and partners that could accelerate our progress in digital banking.

Working experience as a successful Agile Product Owner; knowledge of Agile process and principles, experience with JIRA / Confluence.

Advanced written and verbal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Strong analytics, strategic and innovative thinking, and customer empathy.

Experience working with Salesforce preferred.

Compensation for the Sr. Product Owner include:
  • Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 -- $65/hr.- $72/hr. **depending on experience**
