About the Role:
We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with consulting or owner-side experience in energy-related projects (power production, thermal production, thermal distribution).
This leadership role involves managing a mechanical engineering team, delivering design solutions, and contributing to strategic energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers (3 10).
Develop and deliver mechanical engineering design solutions for energy projects.
Support project planning, budgeting, execution, and compliance documentation.
Contribute to proposal development and business growth opportunities.
Engage in master planning, decarbonization, and strategic energy transition initiatives.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
10+ years of engineering design or consulting experience in energy projects.
Professional Engineering (PE) license (EIT not eligible).
Experience in utility plant design, power generation, thermal systems, and cogeneration/CHP systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and project delivery skills.
Experience with proposals, business development, and emerging energy technologies.
Preferred Experience:
Utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning.
Advisory or contract management roles.
Consistent career history with minimal employer changes.
