Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Rack Production Quality Technician to ensure that all server rack assemblies meet the highest standards of quality before being deployed to our clients or data centers. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the quality and reliability of our server rack systems by conducting inspections, verifying components, and assisting in the continuous improvement of production processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Rack System-Level Inspection:
Perform detailed inspections of fully assembled server racks at various stages of production to verify compliance with technical specifications
Conduct visual and functional assessments, including the verification of mounting hardware, electrical connections, cooling components, and overall structural integrity
Identify, document, and communicate any defects or issues found during inspections, ensuring timely resolution with production teams

Quality Report Preparation and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality reports, documenting the results of inspections and any corrective actions taken
Ensure that all paperwork is accurately completed and filed according to company and industry standards
Track and report on recurring quality issues, providing feedback to improve production processes

Incoming Quality Control of Rack Components:
Perform quality checks on incoming materials and components, such as structural parts, hardware, and electrical components, to ensure they meet the required specifications
Work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to address any non-conforming components, ensuring only high-quality materials are used in production

In-Process Quality Assurance:
Support quality control throughout the production process, conducting spot checks and audits to ensure continuous adherence to quality standards
Collaborate with production staff to identify and rectify issues early in the assembly process, minimizing rework and delays
Participate in root cause analysis for any recurring quality problems, helping to implement corrective actions and process improvements

Testing and Validation:
Assist in testing server racks for load capacity, durability, vibration, and other performance metrics to ensure they meet operational requirements.
Work with the engineering team to set up and interpret results from various tests, contributing to overall product validation.

Process Improvement and Feedback:
Provide constructive feedback to production and engineering teams on ways to improve quality control processes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product reliability and manufacturing efficiency

Additional Duties as Assigned:
Carry out other production quality-related tasks as directed by your supervisor to support the overall quality assurance function
Stay flexible and ready to assist in other areas of the production line as needed

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or technical certification in a related field is a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or data center environment
Familiarity with server rack systems, data center infrastructure, and related hardware components
ISO 9001/13485/14001 experience is a plus
Language: English is required, Mandarin is a plus
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Certifications in Quality Control (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma) are advantageous

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) as necessary
Comfortable standing, bending, and walking for extended periods during inspections
Ability to work in various environments, including manufacturing floors and data centers

Salary Range

$27.00 - $35.00/hour

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
