What's In Store For You:
- Lead the development and modernization of scalable, high-performance data platforms in a cloud-first environment
- Direct the implementation of an enterprise data catalog to enhance visibility and accessibility of data assets
- Champion agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development and improve quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-analytics, engineering, product, and security-to deliver business-aligned data solutions
- Manage and grow a team of talented data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Drive the deployment of new applications and migration of legacy systems to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Promote innovation through automation, AI/ML, and modern data observability tools
How You Will Make An Impact:
- Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale data engineering projects aligned with strategic objectives
- Influence architectural decisions and technology standards to evolve enterprise data capabilities
- Ensure data reliability, quality, and governance through proactive design and operational practices
- Attract, mentor, and retain top engineering talent to build a world-class data engineering team
- Identify and implement automation and machine learning opportunities to streamline data processes
Are You a Director, Data Engineering Rock Star?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in software/data engineering, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and large-scale data platforms
- 3+ years implementing cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of technologies including SQL, Oracle, Snowflake, AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena), Python, Spark, Scala, DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins), and data modeling tools (Erwin)
- Experienced with agile and DevOps methodologies; CI/CD pipeline development
