Job Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Developer I
Duration: 8 Months
Location: Phoenix, AZPosition OverviewThe Business Intelligence (BI) Developer I is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support strategic, clinical, financial, and operational decision-making. This role will focus heavily on Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and interactive dashboards.

Location: Phoenix, AZPosition OverviewThe Business Intelligence (BI) Developer I is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support strategic, clinical, financial, and operational decision-making. This role will focus heavily on Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and interactive dashboards.
The BI Developer will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, transform data into meaningful insights, and deliver user-friendly analytics solutions.
Required Skills- Proficiency in Power BI (dashboards, reports, data models, and DAX).
- Strong analytical and visualization skills to translate complex data into insights.
- Ability to gather and interpret requirements and deliver BI solutions aligned with business needs.
- Familiarity with relational databases and ability to write SQL queries for data extraction.
- Strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Power Query (M) for data transformation.
- Knowledge of Power BI service features (workspaces, apps, row-level security).
- Advanced DAX (time intelligence, performance optimization).
- Exposure to SQL Server (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS).
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
- Experience creating KPIs, performance metrics, and financial/operational dashboards.
- Required:
- 1+ year of experience creating reports, dashboards, or analytics in Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience in data visualization and analysis.
- Exposure to SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Preferred:
- 2+ years of Power BI development (DAX, Power Query).
- Experience designing dashboards for financial, HR, or healthcare operations.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server or enterprise data sources.
- Prior work in government, healthcare, or compliance-driven environments.
- Required: Bachelor s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred:
- Coursework in data visualization, statistics, or database systems.
- Microsoft certification in Power BI (PL-300) or related BI tools.
