Role: Senior Data Architect
Location: Boston/New Jersey
Duration: Full-time
Mode of work: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week)

Domain: Wealth / Investment Management
The Sr. Data Architect (Consulting) will work with a large client / Wealth Management and Investment Management firm. The role is pivotal in supporting the client’s Data Modernization journey, including the transformation of their current Booking System and Data Warehouse / Data Store. The architect will lead the discovery, analysis, and migration efforts, ensuring seamless integration and transformation of data systems while driving the data strategy and governance.
JD:
- Lead the discovery phase in a consulting engagement to analyze the current state of systems and data architecture (Platform Assessment) of a Wealth Management (Private Banking) / Investment Management client
- Develop and define the data solution architecture strategy (Modernization utilizing OpenShift, Cloudera, Snowflake) aligned with the client’s business objectives.
- Anchor technical discussions with senior client stakeholders on data strategy, data ingestion, transformation, data integration, data taxonomy, semantic layer, virtualization, reporting, data quality, and data governance.
- Identify systems impacted by accounting system migration and assess data requirements for the transformation.
- Leverage deep expertise in Oracle Data Warehouse to design and optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing solutions. Define and implement best practices for data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration within the ecosystem. Define processes to transfer, validate, and process data during migration.
- Design and oversee data integrations, ensuring compatibility between systems and seamless data flow.
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Validation Engineers to deliver the data portion of the engagement.
- Redesign data flows to make the current Data Warehouse and Datastore the authorized redistributor of data, replacing the direct data transfer design to the booking system.
- Apply strong domain knowledge in Wealth Management and Investment Management to design solutions tailored to the client’s business needs and understanding the nuances of booking systems and data flows within the financial services industry.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the SEI SWP / Accounting team aligned to project goals.
- Establish data governance practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Technical /Must Haves:
- Deep understanding of architecting Data Platforms (Oracle, OpenShift, Cloudera, Snowflake), consulting on Data Strategy for large financial organizations with 15+ years of experience.
- Expertise in data architecture, data strategy for Wealth Management and Investment Management clients.
- Experience leading Discovery and Analysis of enterprise systems
- Strong communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Knowledge of data governance, validation, and compliance in regulated industries.
- Proficiency in illustrating architectures and creating technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts
- Working knowledge of continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD pipelines and DevOps and underlying deployment infrastructure

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science or related fields: 12+4 years.
