Role: Senior Data Architect

Location: Boston/New Jersey

Duration: Full-time

Mode of work: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week)

Domain: Wealth / Investment Management

The Data Architect will work with a large client / Wealth Management and Investment Management firm. The role is pivotal in supporting the client’s Data Modernization journey, including the transformation of their current Booking System and Data Warehouse / Data Store. The architect will lead the discovery, analysis, and migration efforts, ensuring seamless integration and transformation of data systems while driving the data strategy and governance Core Technical Skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

Data Modeling and Architecture Design:

  • Expertise in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Knowledge of data normalization, denormalization, and schema design (e.g. snowflake schema).
  • Proficiency in metadata management and data governance.

Database Management Systems:

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data.
  • Big Data and Distributed Systems:
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Kafka.
  • Understanding of distributed computing and parallel processing frameworks.

Cloud Platforms:

  • Knowledge of cloud-native data architecture and serverless computing (OpenShift).
  • Programming and Scripting:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or Java for data processing.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell or PowerShell for automation.

Good to Have:

  • Wealth Management Booking Systems understanding
  • SEI SWP implementation experience
  • FIS AddVantage exposure
