Work with the Senior Systems Architect and Systems Analyst to design, develop, implement, configure, deploy and maintain a US Government on-premises custom software system for analysis of nuclear weapon effects. The container-based system runs in Kubernetes and is hybrid Linux and Window system implements a variety of complex science based microservices.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement the Kubernetes container-based solution using java, RESTful web services, javascript, typescript, and REACT/JS. Work with the System Architect and System Analyst to define solutions, design patterns, coding, and peer review solutions to a variety of microservice software components to optimize and improve the existing system architecture. Assist in developing the use of AI tools to enhance the software development and testing of the system software components. Assist in developing intelligent horizontal proactive autoscaling of microservice containers. Assist in the development, deployment and customization of application performance monitoring which measures the systems load and performance. Assist in development, deployment and customization of ontologies to enhance harmonization of data schemas, intelligent composition and orchestration of microservices.
Configure, deploy, test and administer the Kubernetes container-based solution in unclassified and classified environments. Troubleshoot system and configuration issues that impact the system performance and reliability. Work with the team's systems administrator to troubleshoot issues beyond normal system operations. Work with the US Government's Information Technology team to deploy Kubernetes container-based system in the on-premises cloud infrastructure. Work with the US Government's Information Technology team to configure the closed networks and firewalls of the virtual machines and Kubernetes containers for internal and external network access to the system.

Required Skills and Experience:
- BS Computer Engineering, 8-12 years' experience.
- Must have a Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
