Travel Ops Technology Specialist (Remote)

Are you a seasoned travel agency professional with expertise in Sabre? As a Travel Operations Technology Specialist, you will provide critical first-line operations and client travel technology support to both virtual and in-office Travel Agents. Your role is instrumental in ensuring seamless technology solutions, allowing agents to focus on delivering exceptional travel services.
As a Travel Operations Technology Specialist, you will
- Follow the established process to monitor and resolve technical support cases and provide tracking
- Partner with technology teams to resolve and escalate cases
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and other client and operations technology
- Manage system status, taking steps to improve performance, and reliability as directed and per established policies and procedures
- Assist other technical teams (hands-on support)
- Follow security best practices
About you
- Extensive prior experience working in a travel agency environment or travel background, ensuring familiarity with industry operations.
- Skilled in Sabre to efficiently support agents with booking systems, ticketing, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of BCD Travel front-mid-and back-office processes, this includes on-line systems and Central Ticketing
- Strong problem solving and process reengineering skills, ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Experience in process management (design, document and implement processes)
- Great empathy for customer needs and patience with demanding customers
- Excellent communication skills in English
