Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior Systems Programmer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, configure, program, test, and document new or existing operating systems to increase company proficiency in the ability to meet present and future needs
Evaluate, plan, install, configure, and tune system hardware, operating system, and system software products
Effectively work with vendors to document and resolve problems with system hardware, software, and firmware
Participate in planning and conducting disaster recovery tests
Provide statistical analysis and monitoring of storage subsystems and CPU utilization in order to provide information on system capacity and workload, making recommendations when applicable
Qualifications:
Familiarity with system level software products including REXX, JCL, Assembler and COBOL preferred
Familiarity with IBM Z architecture
Familiarity with IBM mainframe products including z/OS, CICS, MVS, DB2 and WebSphere MQ preferred
Familiarity with software products such as TCP/IP, DFSMS/HSM, HCD/IOCP, SMP/E, Unix System Services, AMI Ops, RACF or CA-1
Ability to complete complex projects within an established time frame
8+ years of experience
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $145,000 or the hourly equivalent.
